Death Notices

March 2010

Rebecca J. Galley Dies, age 95 (K124) in the blue history book. She was the sister of Allen Galley who was a past president of the Reunion (Henry Branch). She died in Pittsburgh and was formerly of Catonsville, Md. on Tuesday, March 9.

She served as an Army nurse in England during WW11, 1942-1945. She retired as Director of Nursing at Glendale Hospital, Md.

Shawn Elizabeth LaVergne

Funeral services were held Friday for Shawn Elizabeth LaVergne, 47, of Fairfield, who died Feb. 1. Pastor Ken Pruitt officiated at the service, held at First Baptist Church of Fairfield. Mrs. LaVergne was born December 19, 1962 in Battle Creek, Michigan to John Coffing and LaJune Highley Coffing.

Fairfield, Freestone, Texas from cancer

She was 47 years old and lived in Duson, Louisiana

Her husband is Linus Joseph LaVergne Junior, they were married in Lafayette,

Louisiana on 26 Jul 1986 They have 2 children Linus J. LaVergne III age 21 and Jessie Renee age 18
Shawn was born 19 Dec 1962 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Shawn's mother is Esther LaJune Higley Coffing
and her father is John Arthur Coffing, both living at 19630 Jessup Road, Battle Creek, Michigan 49014.

She loved horses....
